Linda Louise Hargraves was the heartbeat of the family and the community.  Born July 3, 1947, in New Kensington, she was the d aughter of Oscar J. and Annie Ruth Booker. She was a 1966 graduate of Kiski High School. The Rev. Hargraves was the former pastor of First Baptist Church of Avonmore and one of the co-founders of Rivers of Life Outreach Ministries of New Kensington. She was also a past area vice moderator for the Kiski area division of Allegheny Union Baptist Association. Rev. Hargraves was the associate minister at Abundant Life Fellowship Church of Arnold. Rev. Linda enjoyed ministering to all people and one of her greatest joys was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

An avid reader of the Bible and books, she instilled in her children a thirst for knowledge and understanding.  This foundation was established in her name by her children Joe & Staci to continue the wonderful legacy of faith, family, and community.  Linda loved to see family and friends under the Valley HIgh School "Friday Night Lights" and longed for day the community would return to the "good ole days" where children thrived.  Thru this foundation we are in the business of making futures a reality for the students in the community. We are funding team gear/travel, equipment, performing arts and academic programs.  We remove barriers to success and realize that all that we are as her children are because she cultivated and instilled the time and dedication in each of us!
